Update

Thank you very much for everyone's support. Due to the collaborative efforts there were more than 1200 donations. This will cover my flight ticket and overnight stay near the airport while waiting for the military fligh to take us down to Haiti.

I am collecting more donations for Starbucks individual coffee packages and electrolyte drinks in a powder form for the whole crew of medical personel that are going with our group. So far there are 40 people that are going and I know that we'll need coffee and electrolyte replacement... lol

Via craigslist I was able to get one more volunteer nurse to join us on the flight on the 22nd.

I got lots of help from friends and coworkers who talked to me about their previous experiences, helped me with figuring out what are the things I need with me for my physical protection and well being. I will be borrowing many supplies from friends to take with me as well.
